Who we are
Sociedade Ciclista Lusitana, Lda is a company based in the municipality of Águeda, dedicated to the manufacture and sale of components and accessories for bicycles, two-wheeled motor vehicles and various utilities for other branches of commerce and industry.
It owns the registered trademark “LUSITO®”.
History
Until the 70s/80s, Lusitana mainly sold its products to
the internal market, working with companies such as Famel, Macal, Sachs, EFS and Casal
and being part of the range of industries that led Águeda to be considered
the capital of “two wheels”. Participated in and sponsored several cycling events,
enduro and motocross in Portugal, having won numerous trophies
with its brand “LUSITO®”.
Nowadays more than 50% of its production is exported,
with North African countries being the main destinations for its products.
However, EU countries continue to be a reference in their
exports to Europe.
Currently, Lusitana is one of the oldest companies
of the municipality to work continuously since its foundation.
